Kannawidan Ylocos Festival

          We celebrate the Kannawidan Festival to restore our traditional culture.There are so many activities that they do during this festval like the Siglat Ilocandia,Sanyata and may more.They started last January 30,2012 the parade that participated by different School Marching Band.Every night many of the local artist join to celebrate this festival.One of the main highlightof this festival is the trade fair located at the side of the Provincial Capitol.Every Municipalities in Ilocos Sur have their own booth,they sell their own products.Many of the local or international tourist were visiting the trade fair.During aso the Kannawidsan ,they give cash prizesto all the winners that represent the provine of Ilocos Sur in different contest ,International or local.
          The province of Ilocos Sur has recently celebrated its Kannawidan Ylocos Festival this year marks the province’s 193rd year based on the Royal Decree dated February 2, 1818 separating Ilocos Sur from Ilocos Norte. Prior to this date, the stretch of Bangui in Ilocos Norte down to Luna La Union is called Ylocos which is a term to refer to the coastal inhabitants. It literally meant “from the lowlands”.
           Kannawidan Ylocos Festival is very enjoyable and exciting...  ^_^

New Year, New Me !

                           New Year is the time at which a new calendar year begins. New Year is the closest thing to being the world's only truly global public holiday, often celebrated with fireworks as the new year starts. New Year is a new life.

                          New Year, New Me. In this year, i will change my bad attitudes, i will become responsible person and i will study hard to reach may dreams. So everyday is a new day, we learn something new everyday and I thank God for the new life.

About Mother Tongue

                    A first language also "native language", "mother tongue" or "arterial language" is the language a person has learned from birth or within the critical period, or that a person speaks the best and so is often the basis for sociolinguistic identity. In some countries, the terms native language or mother tongue refer to the language of one's ethnic group rather than one's first language. Sometimes, there can be more than one mother tongue, when the child's parents speak different languages. Those children are usually called bilingual.
                    The general usage of the term "mother tongue" denotes not only language one learn from one's mother, but also the speaker dominant and home language, not only the first language according to the time of acquisition, but the first with regard to it's importance and the speaker's ability to master it's linguistic and communicative aspect.

               Equal Rights is the right of every person by absolute and personal right, without subject of another, to receive in kind the same amount, size, number or value of what is given to others in a comparable place, so that  there may be an impartial and tranquil state of mind where all can meet and be capable of completing a task or resolving a situation.

Responding to Climate Change

             Climate change is a significant and lasting change in the statistical distribution of weather patterns over period ranging from decades to millions of years. It may be a change in average weather conditions. Climate change may be limited to a specific region or may occur across the whole World.

             Climate includes patterns of temperature, precipitation, humidity, wind and seasons. "Climate change" affects more than just a change in the weather, it refers to seasonal changes over a long period of time. These climate patterns play a fundamental role in shaping natural ecosystems, and the human economies and cultures that depend on them. 

             Because so many systems are tied to climate, a change in climate can affect many related aspects of where and how people, plants and animals live, such as food production, availability and use of water, and health risks.

My Favorite Hero

                    All of us have our own favorite hero. Heroes are the one who helps people. Some of hero don't have super powers and some have.
                     I considered my parents us my hero because they are the one who is working for our family and they are also the one who is giving our money to go to school.
                     I love my parents. thank you to them because without my parents I am not here. I will finish my study so that they will become proud to me.

Breastfeeding

           When a woman has a baby, she immediately is faced with many decisions. These decisions include, where to send the child to daycare, what kind of diapers to use, or which doctor to take them to.
          One of the most important decisions is whether or not to breastfeed. Doctors and nurses around the country suggest that breastfeeding has many benefits. These benefits are not only benefits for the baby, but also benefits for the mother. Breast milk is made especially for the infant. It helps the infant to develop into their fullest physical, emotional, and intellectual potential.
               Breast milk contains many nutrients. These nutrients are easy for the infant to digest and automatically adjusts to the infant’s needs. The most important nutrient in breast milk is fat. The baby needs fats and cholesterol for brain and body growth. Another important nutrient in breast milk is protein. This protein is easily digested by the baby and is more completely absorbed than the protein in formula.
